Wago’s Creme Brulee 101 Demo
Step 1 - Read the recipe closely.
Step 2 - Measure everything.
Step 3 - Beat the egg yolks with an electric beater until….
Step 4 - ….it turns pale yellow!
Step 5 - Bake in oven until the middle is just barely jiggly. Chill in refridgerator, and when you are ready can’t wait to eat it…sprinkle white sugar on top.
Step 6 - This is the fun part, bust out your propane torch!
Step 7 - Admire your work.
Step 8 - Dig in, and repeat.

Summer Kick-off Strawberry Cobbler
Summer is here which means it’s strawberry time! I can’t wait for local strawberries to show up at the markets. In the mean time I guess the giant, rock hard ones at the supermarket will have to make do.
I didn’t use any particular recipe for this. It’s basically just sugared strawberries with a splash of lemon juice, and a basic galette pie crust on top. It turned out alright I guess…perhaps next time I will pre-cook the strawberries for a thicker, syrupy filling.

Light Brioche Burger Buns
To celebrate Victoria Day (for giving us an extra long weekend), I made some fresh hamburger buns using the recipe on Smitten Kitchen. They turned out splendidly and all I had to do was to ask a certain someone to grill up some hamburgers and dinner was served! The burger buns were light, super fluffy with just a hint of sweetness. It was heaven. Highly recommended. If you serve these at your next summer bbq party everyone will think you are a domestic goddess, guaranteed!
